Kings Mountain is the site where American frontiersman defeated British troops in 1780, a critical turning point in the Revolutionary War. The park features a visitors center with an introductory film and exhibits about the battle, and a 1.5-mile self-guided trail around the battle site. It lies just south of North and South Carolina border, east of Blacksburg.
Open daily: Weekdays 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., weekends 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
